The walking distance with 8 km and some moderate up and down is not difficult if you wear proper shoes and are used to walk a bit. Sometimes the Bridge was more covered sometime less, but it was stunning. The unique views to the Golden Gate and to the coast were spectacular, even it was foggy. We went on along the coast trail to the little known Marshall Beach where we also enjoyed our lunch. First we visited Fort Point which is located just under the Golden Gate Bridge. Ben our guide was very knowledgeable and informative. ![]() We had almost a private tour, only two of us booked it. This is an incredible experience! Ben is a wonderful guide, especially since he grew up playing in the Redwoods. H enry - AirBnb - Review of The Redwoods of Marin ***** We stopped for lunch at the end, halfway down a 14-story staircase plunked deep in the woods. It's hard to describe the sensation: fragrant, woodsy, majestic, and very very private (in three hours, we passed six people and eight dogs). We wound through a neighborhood set among the redwoods, then hit a rolling trail, with its clear waterfalls, ancient trees, crisp leaves underfoot, and stunning views of Mount Tamalpais. Greg, Ben's partner, was a wonderful guide: knowledgeable, friendly, and super thoughtful. Jean - AirBnB - Review of the Redwoods of Marin ***** ![]() Definitely would not have discovered Mill Valley or this trail otherwise, and I'm glad I did! Had such a lovely and relaxing day hiking with Greg! The hike was beautiful - redwood trees, waterfall, and homes of Mill Valley were all gorgeous - and not too strenuous.
